  • At Woodland Veterinary Clinic, preventive care is tailored to each stage of your pet’s life.
Puppies and kittens benefit from more frequent visits to support healthy growth and receive essential preventive care, including vaccinations and parasite prevention.
As pets reach adulthood, annual wellness exams help with early disease detection and ongoing prevention to keep them feeling their best.
In their senior years, typically over seven years of age, we recommend comprehensive exams every six months along with preventive lab work to identify changes early, support comfort and mobility, and protect quality of life for your golden-aged companion.

  • We offer walk-in and urgent care availability seven days a week. We recommend calling ahead so our care team can be prepared to welcome you and support your pet as soon as you arrive.

  • Please bring your pet and anything that helps them feel calm and comfortable during their visit, such as a favorite toy, treats, or a trusted support person or pet. For everyone’s safety, cats must arrive in a secure carrier and dogs must be leashed.

  • We have select appointments available for smaller companions such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and rats.

  • At Woodland Veterinary Clinic, your pet’s safety and long-term health guide every recommendation we make. We do not recommend or provide anesthetic-free dentals because they do not meet the standards of care outlined by the Canadian or American Veterinary Medical Associations.

This approach can miss disease below the gumline, where pain and infection often live. Without anesthesia, pets cannot receive a complete oral exam, dental X-rays, or thorough cleaning, and the experience itself can be stressful.

A properly monitored anesthetic dental allows us to fully assess, treat, and protect your pet’s oral health safely, comfortably, and effectively.
